Services Utah Welding Services

With our Utah welding services our welders  are ASME and AWS certified. Our skilled welders through many years of experience have mastered the art of welding. We offer the following welding types: shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), fluxed-cored arc welding (FCAM), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW).

Our Utah Welding Services Include:

Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), or also known as manual metal arc welding (MMA).
What is SMAW? It is method of welding by where an electric current is used to strike an arc between the electrode rod and the base material. This then produces carbon dioxide (CO2) that then protects the area from oxidation and contamination.

Gas metal arc welding (GMAW), also known as metal inert gas (MIG) welding.
This is an automatic welding process that uses a continuous wire feed as an electrode and an inert or semi-inert gas mixture to protect the weld from contamination. Because the electrode is continuous the welding speeds are greater for GMAW than for SMAW.

Flux-cored arc welding (FCAW).
This type of welding uses a cored wire, this is a wire consisting of a steel electrode that is surrounding a powder filled material. This cored wire allows for higher welding speeds and greater metal penetration.

Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), or tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding.
The GTAW is a manual welding process and is used when quality welds are extremely important. It uses a nonconsumable tungsten electrode, an inert or semi-inert gas mixture, and a separate filler material. This is especially useful for welding thin materials, this welding method is known by its stable arc and allows for high quality welds at relatively low speeds. The GTAW welding method can be used on nearly all weldable metals, it is more often used on stainless steel and light metals.
